Invasive and non-invasive Plastic Surgery

Any technique that penetrates the skin, generally with an incision, is considered invasive surgery. One way to look at it is that if the technique leaves a scar, it is considered invasive surgery. Invasive techniques often produce longer-lasting and more visible results than noninvasive procedures. Noninvasive techniques have grown in popularity in recent years for a variety of reasons. Apparently, such operations leave no scars.
